BE AN EAGLE BE A LEADER.

Do you know who is a leader? A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. This is a similar characteristics of an eagle. An Eagle makes its own way. During the rain an Eagle doesn’t stop flying nor fetches for a shelter, in fact it soars through the rain and flies above the clouds.

It was Dr. Myles Munroe who said that, Pigeons scavenge on the ground and grumble and complain all day long. But Eagles fly and make less noise waiting for opportunities to strike their next prey or glide with the current of the storm.

This very act of an eagle encourages ME to look up high and dream to touch the heights.

Since my childhood I was always the odd one out amongst my siblings. When all of them studied hard for their exams, I hardly studied. Everything was so distinctive about me, the way I walked, the way I spoke, the way I sat, my body shape, my skin tone was so mismatched when compared with my siblings. And the best coincidence was that the meaning of my name SHAZIA is UNIQUE. I feel when my mom had a first glance at me she knew my USP’s and kept this special name.

When ever I looked at my siblings, I always felt the huge GAP of career and success. All of them are working in higher positions except me. I was just A simple homemaker who didn’t have an aim in life. I was that women who always felt deep within that she has a purpose in LIFE but what is it she never knew until she discovered her hidden talents.

The imprinted picture in my mind of being successful was so unrealistic and hallucinating. I always thought getting employed in top organizations, earning 4 figured salaries , owning lavish cars and houses is being successful in life. The society in which we live made me think like them. If you are a homemaker then you are good for nothing and you are just meant to be in the kitchen and taking care of your family. This is the sad reality of today’s so called modern society. There are still many people who think that women who are doctors or any other profession are more superior and more capable as compared to homemakers.

These unsavory talks did influence my life and sabotaged my confidence temporarily but I was always very tenacious towards all impediments in my life. We never know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have. I never got what I wished for or prayed for, but in return I got what Allah wished for me. The things which I never thought of doing in my life, entered so smoothly in my journey that I never realized how far I have come on this new path.

At present I exactly know what I want to achieve in life. The true success is not earning high salaries or building large properties for yourself, but a true successful person is the one who makes a difference in other persons life by making them realize their purpose of existence in this pretentious world. when people raise their hands to make DUA for me that is the biggest reward I have achieved in my life. I read an anonymous quote ” don’t be a parrot in life, a parrot talks a lot but cannot fly high. Be an eagle as it is silent and has the will power to touch the sky.” That is exactly what I did, I carried out my journey in silence and my achievements made the sound and not merely my words.

In my journey towards my success I never realized I have almost turned into an eagle. DR APJ Abul Kalam has quoted that ” all birds find shelter during the rain, but Eagle avoids rain by flying above the clouds. The problem is same but attitude makes a difference.” My strong attitude of being resilient towards all the storms made me a leader for the people who are important in my life and for many women who look up to me and regard me as an inspiration or a ray of hope in their lives. when ever there is a problem my husband, my daughter, my family look up-to me as they have a faith in me that I will find a solution for their problems.

If you scan through the History, you will learn that great leaders are problem solvers. They don’t complain like the pigeons do. They love to take challenges as the eagle does when the storm comes.

Many precious years of my life got wasted in thinking why am I outnumbered and not like others. I learnt the hard way that eagles fly alone but pigeons flock together.

Diamonds are so precious and exorbitant, every women wishes to own a diamond isn’t it? BUT do you know what is a diamond? If you think logically It is just a chunk of coal which did well under pressure.

Today I am proud to say that I am a DIAMOND because I have fought all my battles valorously and have shined in my own path. Today I am a HOMEMAKER, a TIKTOKER, a BLOGGER, a division level TOASTMASTER and with the grace of Almighty there are many more to come. I did all this from home while handling my duties of being a wife, being a mother, being a daughter in law, being a daughter, being a friend, being a sister , being a sister in law. I have given importance to each and every role of my life.

You all must have experienced that when you are under the moonlight you are quite relaxed and stable, but once you are under the sunlight that is when you come under sweating action. This is life, when we have all comforts in life and when we get everything very easily sometimes we forget to be thankful to God. The actual taste of life comes when we face adversities and that is when we can turn into an eagle.

If you ever happen to see an eagle sitting high above the tree or cliff of a stiff mountain, watch closely and see how attentive the bird is. The body sits still and the head will be tilted side to side to observed what is happening below, around and above it. Even if its flying close by, you can observe how keen its eyes are looking for its prey. Eagles have a keen vision. Their eyes are specially designed for long distance focus and clarity. They can spot another eagle soaring from 50 miles away.

Does this characteristic ring a bell in your mind? I am sure it does. Look at great leaders of this world who have come and gone. There are many great leaders that came and went but one characteristic that is common in all is “Vision”. Vision is a successful leadership

So have a vision in life and always believe in yourself, if you don’t then no one will. Believe that you are Diamond and you are precious not for anyone else but for-yourself. Don’t turn into a stone which has no value and which can be kicked and thrown by anybody . Add value to yourself by being your best. Don’t dream to be like someone, just be FLAWSOME be YOU.
